WEON 2022:
The art of epidemiology

In 2022, the annual WEON conference will be organized at the Radboudumc in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, on June 9-10. The theme of WEON 2022 is ‘The art of epidemiology’, as it may be considered a real art how to deal with various methodological challenges to answer epidemiological research questions. We also aim to connect epidemiology to actual art!

Announcements

There are already 250 registrations for the WEON Epidemiology Conference and/or preconferences! More registrations are welcome – for the WEON on June 9 and 10, and/or for a preconference on June 8. 

Online registration for the WEON Epidemiology conference is possible until May 30. Please note that on-site registration is not possible. 

Keynote speakers
We are very pleased to announce our keynote speakers: prof. dr. Teun Bousema, dr. Daisy Fancourt, prof. dr. Miguel Hernán, dr. Susan van den Hof, dr. Andrew Roddam, and prof. dr. Maroeska Rovers. More information about these keynote speakers and their presentation at WEON2022 can be found here. 

Workshop Friday June 10
At Friday June 10 there will be interactive workshops on science communication, data visualisation, the art of looking and real-world data modelling. 

Pre-conferences Wednesday June 8
This year there are five interesting pre-conference courses that will take place on Wednesday June 8, 2022. Two pre-conferences will be held online in the morning and in the afternoon three pre-conferences will be on site at the Radboudumc, Nijmegen. 

Social program
Thursday June 9 there will be a social program organized at the Lindenberg Cultuurhuis in the city center of Nijmegen. This program includes a creative workshop and a dinner.
